Process
Context

We all have a rich inner world, full of desires, aspirations, and dreams... that we sometimes don't share out of fear of being judged, but that are part of our identity.

The tension generated by keeping these secrets makes our brain react negatively to the unnatural state of constant alertness: what can I say, with whom, possible suspicions, the credibility of excuses...

This causes anxiety, discomfort, depression, and even situations of social isolation, due to the fear of being discovered.

Fail fast, fail cheap

We needed the fast construction of an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) to launch into the market and start obtaining feedback, that would give us accurate insights to iterate upon.

To achieve this, we used the Lean UX method, a methodology in which research takes a backseat and is replaced by action. We created protopersonas that would use our service and Lean Canvas to focus on the key elements of our business model.

Solution

A safe environment where you can be yourself

Whispers is a free and secure application, created for understanding, which is defined by the following brand pillars:

Artificial intelligence- Advanced algorithms for creating empathetic companions adapted to the user's preferences

Personalization- An avatar that interacts in two modes:

  • Listening mode — The user simply needs to be heard. Having a conversation to reveal what is pressing them, and thus be relieved of the emotional burden of keeping a secret.

  • Guidance mode - When the user also wants to find advice on everything they have trusted to our application.

Privacy — We work anonymously through the inclusion of the strictest cybersecurity parameters, with the application of SSL/TLS Certificate protocols to encrypt information and ensure airtightness between users.

Availability — Mobile application and smartphone widget for 24/7 accompaniment.

Metrics

To measure the interest of the public in our application, we launched a landing page, built with WordPress, which we provided with tools to obtain quantitative metrics:

Hotjar

Generates heat maps and click counts, both for the desktop version and for mobile.

Ratios greater than 30% reach the end of the landing page. The heat maps show that cooling occurs in advanced sections, maintaining public interest.

Clicks on video were much higher than expected. We set a KPI of 40% but the response was over 70%, indicating that we have created an attractive product capable of grabbing attention.

Google analytics

A tracking tool where we can obtain very valuable information to analyze the behavior of our users.

During the first month we had 144 unique users with 454 events and an average interaction time of 2 minutes 24 seconds. The user shows interest in the product, interacts, with a low bounce rate.

However, only 16.36% of users click on the download CTA. This is where we must invest our efforts, and redesign the hero to make it more attractive and inviting to click.
